Q: Are you Licensed?
A: We are not State licensed. We fall underneath the Archdiocese of St. Louis and we follow their guidelines.
Q: When do I need to make payments for your services?
A: We use a program called Tuition Express, which is an automated payment processing system.
(Holidays during the year are considered when we set our weekly rates and are reflected in the total costs for the year. Therefore, our weekly rates continue to be consistent throughout the year.)
Q: Is vacation time allowed?
A. Yes, one week a year (September-August) for F.T. Preschool children only.
Q: Are meals included?
A: Yes! Breakfast, AM snack (fresh fruit), Lunch and PM snack. See our menus.
Q: What is Simon Says' sick policy?
A: 24 hour fever free.
Q: How long has Simon Says been established?
A: Since 1995.
Q: What time does Simon Says open/close and is there one combined classroom where kids get dropped off?
A: 7:00am-5:30pm and Rooms are rarely combined for opening and closing purposes.
Q: What is the Staff:Child Ratio at Simon Says?
A: 1:4 Infant, 1:8 Toddler, 1:10 3 yrs., 1:10 4 yrs., 1:16 5 yrs.
Q: How often does the center perform fire/tornado drills?
A: Quarterly.
Q: How often are fire inspections performed?
A: Once a year.
Q: How is your facility cleaned?
A: We have a cleaning company come nightly.
Q: Do you provide daily reports on my child?
A: Only for the Infants.
Q: Does Simon Says have an Open Door Policy?
A: No appointments are needed. Come at your convenience.
Q: What are some examples of things Simon Says incorporates into the daily curriculum?
A: Math, writing, small group and large group activities, Cooking, Science, Music and Sensory Table activities.
Q: Are there any extra services available that I can get my child involved in?
A: Yes. Simon Says has additional programs for gym, dance, religion and babysitting.
Q: Do any of your classes go on Field Trips? How many? Do they cost extra? Who drives?
A: We have our own State licensed bus and driver and there is no fee for any of our trips. Our children that are 3,4 and 5 attend trips. We go on trips monthly and weekly in the summer.
Q: Do you ever ask for Parent Volunteers?
A: Yes, and participation is open to all parents.
Q: How often are Parent/Teacher conferences?
A: These are given every February.
Q: Are there any animals/pets at Simon Says?
A: Yes. Only fish at this time.

A: 6/10 Full time employees have degrees.
Q: How long has the Simon Says Director been there and how high is the turnover on staff?
A: Our Director was hired in 1995 when the center was founded and our staff turnover is very low, many have been here long term.
Q: How does shift change work and when will I be able to speak with one of my child's teachers?
A: Parents always see a full time teacher.
Q: What approach do your teachers take with teaching the classes?
A: We team teach, opposed to having one teacher lead while another assists.
Q: Do you require your staff to further their education?
A: Yes, staff is required to have 12 hours of educational classes a year.
Q: Do you require your staff to receive training in C.P.R., First aid and A.E.D.?
A: Yes, Full-time and part-time staff are certified in all areas, every other year (as suggested).
Q: Is Simon Says a non-smoking facility?
A: Yes.
