St. Simon the Apostle Catholic School Goals

Upon completion of studies at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic School students will:

 

  1. Live gospel values, act with compassion and respond with service to societal needs.
  2. Show respect for the word of God by actively participating in the celebration of the Eucharist and prayer opportunities.
  3. Recognize individual strengths and weaknesses and show an appreciation for others’ gifts and talents.
  4. Respond to persons of other cultures with interest and respect.
  5. Show respect for God’s creation, especially for life in all its forms.
  6. Knowledge of the basic subject areas.
  7. Demonstrate self-motivation and curiosity for lifelong learning.
  8. Show responsibility for actions, accept success with humility and rebound from disappointment.
  9. Develop and use responsible, independent work habits.
  10. Respect leadership and demonstrate good citizenship.
  11. Apply critical thinking, problem solving, and analytic skills to life experiences.
  12. Communicate effectively by using a variety of media.
  13. Utilize the technology of today to prepare for tomorrow.
  14. Apply strategies to effectively resolve conflicts.
  15. Organize materials for multidisciplinary projects.
